Curriculum vitae

My name is Chiara Rizzolo, I’ m an Italian 26 year old girl with a degree in foreign languages and literatures and a major in audiovisual communication. I’ m going to take a second degree in Arts and Literature while working as a freelance translator, graphic, typographer and musician too. As a matter of fact, I’m a producer both of chill out and progressive house music, and I’ m currently realizing experimental "cracking music" for the art installations of the Cracking Art Group.

I like defining myself as a ‘ photo dissectioner ‘ : neither a photographer or a surgeon, rather something in between. I’m first of all an observer, a listener and – besides – a communicator. What can’t be expressed through words must find a way ( or a shape ) to be given birth. And here comes my works with photographs and images .

They’ re “ works about light “ as I called them, because light is the filter ( or mirror) through which I reveal my personal vision. Needless to say, Light can’ t exist without Darkness. Blacks and Whites are used to underline details, eyes, emotions, subtle impressions people are not used to focus on because of different reasons : stereotypes, common places, lack of time, lack of attention, blindness, etc.

My black-&-withes are meant to unmask every subject, no matter if they are dead actresses, singers, sport icons or religious figures. They reveal the true identities behind a spotlight and no matter if the face behind is ugly, uninteresting or simply boring.
