Scheda tecnica

This picture is part of a personal-landscape project about my native land Sardinia. The aim of this project is to explore the concept of islandness through the intimate relationship between one person and his motherland. I think that living with borders is something that strongly shapes your relationship with your own interior and exterior space. You create a sort of radical feeling about yourself, your subjectivity, your identity and the outside world. But at the same time you develop a profound relation with infinity, not mystical but as a sort of awareness of being on the edge. This sensation has a dichotomic nature, it puts the self in and out at the same instant. It seems as you can lean out of the border and lightly touch a sort of unknown, while your feet are on the safe and known surface of the land.

In general my my artistic research focuses on the wide concept of landscape and its implications with culture and subjectivity.
