Lago Andersen is the new artist of the month of ArtGallery

Lago was born on Møn, an island in south-eastern Denmark. He graduated from Det Frie Gymnasium, in Denmark and he finished from Akademiet For Utæmmet Kreativiet, school specializing in culture, communications, philosophy and pedagogy. He is also a singer and musician. Our artist of the month works with the abstract by choosing to deny the pure representation of reality to bring out their feelings through shapes, lines and colors. Although his art uses the compositional principles of abstract-art in an obvious way, the artist is still linked to figuration as well as to the absolute freedom of composition, somewhat "elementary" because much like the child's drawing. It represents, ironically, a mysterious reality, full of anguish and sometimes dark. The human figure is always the focus of his attention. He makes visible an image in the midst of grainy brushstrokes, they are derived from a process of pure creation that constitute a link between thought and reality.
